About PrintableNest
PrintableNest is a catalogue of public domain and openly licensed prints and patterns that Wikimedia Commons holds in nine print and paper categories. Each file gets one page showing its Commons title, creator credit, licence, date and pixel dimensions as the Commons records state them.

Licences and attribution
Every file page names the licence its Commons record carries (LicenseShortName) and links the licence URL when the record has one; the creator credit (Artist) is printed on the page and in the category and licence tables. The files listed are in the public domain or under CC0, CC BY or CC BY-SA, as their records state.
You do not need to obtain a specific statement of permission from the licensor(s) of the content unless you wish to use the work under different terms than the license states.

The licences themselves are published by Creative Commons: the attribution licences require crediting the creator named in each record, and the share-alike licences require the same licence on reuse. creativecommons.org/licenses.

What the figures cover
Counts on this site cover the Commons category listings fetched on the date above. commons_plates.json holds 2,483 rows over 2,482 distinct file ids, commons_categories.json holds 9 rows and commons_licences.json holds 17 rows. A file that appears in two categories has one page, and both listings are shown on it; the category and licence tables list each of those record rows separately.
Fields left empty
Where a Commons record has no artist, credit line, date or description, that line is left out of the page rather than filled in. Records outside the public domain and CC0 / CC BY / CC BY-SA families are not kept; commons_categories.json records how many were dropped per category.
